RecordedSound.GetMemoryPtr method

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Remarks

If sound data resulting from a recording session has been stored in memory, this method will return the memory address (pointer) of the buffer containing sound data.

This specific method returns a 32 bits pointer so is intended for usage with applications developed specifically for x86; in case the container application should be compiled for x64, the RecordedSound.GetMemoryPtr64 method would be the preferred choice because it will correctly return the 64 bits pointer.

The actual size of the memory buffer can be retrieved using the RecordedSound.GetMemorySize method.

For further details about recorded sound methods refer to the RecordedSound object section.

For further details see the How to perform a recording session section.
